First of all, thanks to everyone who sent me ideas for books and websites about polyamory. I now have this huge list of things to look through as I start to contemplate the dynamics of open relationships.
Like I mentioned in the comments, my guy and I have been talking about this for a few weeks now, so I'm interested in it mostly for personal reasons. But I also think there are so many layers involved when considering patriarchy, our notions of sexuality, societal norms, etc. that I will definitely be posting about the things I learn and ponder.
I just wanted to give you all a heads up that I'll be starting by reading Opening Up: A Guide to Creating and Sustaining Open Relationships by Tristan Taormino (which I'll be picking up after work today). I also want to check out The Ethical Slut, Open: Love, Sex & Life in an Open Marriage, and One Big Happy Family.
Wish me luck as I dive into the unknown!
