Danny over at My Corner of the Universe has a song title post (almost) every Friday and they're just too much fun for me. New music, old faves & wordplay, what more could a girl ask for? It was only a matter of time before I caught the musical bug, so I'm taking his idea and running with it. Let's hope I do it justice. ENJOY!
Tori Amos - Spark
I think this song is the perfect balance of beauty, sorrow, ambivalence and simplicity. Not to mention, I find it completely haunting. Hopefully you will agree.
Alanis Morissette - So Pure
This is one of my favorite Alanis songs. She isn't only angry and depressed in her music, she has some great, fun songs - and I'm not just talking about her younger years. Where are my dancing shoes?
Kym Mazelle - Young Hearts Run Free (from the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack)
This is one of those songs that I only hear once every few months, yet I sing it all the time. I've loved it from my first listen of the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack. Not only do I find the music itself infectious, but the lyrics were awesome and I'd sing them as loud as I could despite the fact that I was only in junior high. LOVE it!
Hope you all enjoyed the music break. I'm going to go watch Romeo + Juliet now because I haven't seen it in years, which should just be a sin.
