I can't believe this -- the VP debate is going to be scripted. WTF?!

If Palin can't handle the debate, how can people believe she's able to handle being VP?! I just don't understand what this country is coming to. People have been anticipating the debates as a chance for all of them to really get serious about the issues, to be candid about their policies, and to show how they handle pressure. And now the McCain camp wants a free ride for Palin? I'm very disappointed.

I'm sick of hearing about the daily shenanigans and let-downs from the GOP. I can't wait for all of this b.s. to end.

How do they constantly get away with this shit?! That's one of the most egregious double standards I've heard in a long time. If she can't handle a normal debate, she shouldn't be on the ticket. If she can't handle a normal debate, how do we think she's going to fare as vice president or, god forbid, commander in chief?

I wouldn't worry. It sounds like the Obama camp got nearly everything it wanted in the presidential debates in terms of format. The extended questions are huge. Whereas McCain's pushing for... a lectern.

I still think Biden will effectively deal with Palin. I trust him to put enough policy in his sound bites. Plus I think the 1st debate will inevitably have a stronger effect than the VP one.

GIBSON: Do you agree with the Bush doctrine? PALIN: In what respect, Charlie? GIBSON: The Bush -- well, what do you -- what do you interpret it to be? PALIN: His world view.

Now we can't have more of that, hence the scripting.
