I found a list a while back in some magazine or newspaper (does anybody know where I read this?) by First Lady Laura Bush entitled "25 Books to Read Before You're 25." Being a huge bookworm, I took down the list and decided that I'd read all of them before turning 25.

Yeah... the clock is ticking and I haven't read any of them yet.

So I've decided that on top of giving myself a new deadline (maybe if I add a book, I can change it to 26 before 26?), I'll blog about them as I read. I'll post the full list when I have it in front of me for anybody interested. I did read a few of them in high school, but it's been so long that I'll need to reread them.

I've started with Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë. I'm on page 8, so nothing special yet. Has anybody read it? Did you like it? Hate it?

Happy reading everyone!

P.S.- The one thing I have told myself is that under no circumstances am I to read any HP book until I read all of the books on the list! Hopefully this will help me stay focused knowing that the sweet reward is rereading the entire series.

I'm such a nerd, I know. Don't you love it?!

Good luck with Jane Eyre. I did eventually finish reading it but it put me to sleep many, many nights.

You know, I haven't read J.E. - and I've got a couple of years on you. Seeing as I also pride myself on being a nerd, maybe I should. I have totally pulled off sounding like I've read it, though, in conversations - which makes me think that most people haven't really read the whole thing...

You know what book from the should-read lists I did like - Crime and Punishment. Who would have thought?
